Auction 7: Donna Gibb is Australia's "Celebrity Artist", and has painted with many of our leading sporting stars and identities, including Jamie Durie, Kostya Tszya, Michael Klim, Gai Waterhouse, Dawn Fraser, LeighMatthews, Corey Brown, John Eales, George Gregan, Glenn McGrath, Ricky Ponting, and the Australian Cricket Team. Donna has also painted live on television with celebrity hosts on Channel Seven's "Sunrise" and "Sportsworld" and Spring Carnival coverage, Channel Nine's "Today Show" and QBE Riverfire Broadcast along with Sky World Racing's "Off the Rails". Through her body of work, Donna has raised close to $1,000,000 for charity with her paintings fetching up to $30,000 each at auction. Donna captures significant events on canvas as a lifelong memory. She engages celebrities and guests to add to her paintings, bringing joy to so many through the aesthetic and participatory expression of art. Donna has painted for many Racing Identities and Racing clubs including the Victorian Racing Club, Mooney Valley Race Club, Queensland Racing, the Magic Millons, and most recently a commission of Shocking, last year's Melbourne Cub Winner for trainer, for Mark Kavanagh. Today Donnat is painting a special artwork which pays tribute to past champions of the Melbourne Cup. As a special touch, Donna will also add in this year's winner. The buyer of this 'one off painting' will have the privilege of having themselves painted into the Flemington crowd, or their Business logo capture in the artwork. Donna paints exclusively at events or on commission and her paintings are not available in galleries, ensuring the increasing value of them for years to come.
